post on smart's SIP contest...

there's also another ongoing VOIP contest at http://www.callforconvergence.com. more oriented to the Voice XML... so i guess its official: VOIP is going mainstream locally...

anyway it would be nice to monitor these developments and see what kind of apps the contestants would submit... ideas? dunno if x10 devices are available locally or are still in production... but you can create a VOIP app to manage those devices... text to speech app would also be great for newsfeeds, blogfeeds, traffic, weather etc (on asterisk this can be done via festival)... on the crappy side you can have it preview your favorite moan/mp3 tone before downloading... the list of cool apps goes on...

wonder what the smart sip contest platform would be?
